Shelves built

Got the shelves built this morning as they arrived at 8:30 so had plenty of time 😁

They are really sturdy so will hole the aquariums easily.

I'm now waiting for the mats to arrive so that I can start sorting out the aquariums in their new location. I am just clearing off the chrome shelves so that the big rack can be pushed into the corner as the chrome shelves are not staying in my room as they were just temporary until I got some proper shelves.

Yesterday I moved the big baby's from individual tubs into larger tubs and put 2 axolotl's per tub as the individual tubs were too much work and were too small for the axolotl's to move much.

Yesterday I also put Sam in the big tank with the big axolotl and they seem to be OK together. They have been keeping out of each others way for the most part so it went better than I expected.

I have also been checking the little ones in the tank with the minnows and shrimp and they seem to be doing really well. I managed to see all 3 at the same time this morning which is the first time that I have seen all 3 at once. You can normally see 2 out of the 3 but never 3 at once.

O have filled the tank with daphnia so everyone has enough food for the moment to keep them from eating each other! I have another 12 packets of daphnia ordered so they will most likely arrive before the weekend although not really sure as the bank holiday may out a spanner in the works.

I have now got the shelves to the position that the will be staying from now on just waiting on the Amazon delivery driver to deliver the bits and I will move the tanks over.

I have cleaned the tank already so when the stuff arrives I will tub the axolotl's and drain most of the water and out the tank on the shelf. I then have to clean out the other tank that we picked up last week and get that one on the middle shelf.

I am not going to get any more aquariums until the stand that I am picking up tomorrow morning is ready then the 2 tanks that I have will go onto that in the lounge and I will get 2 bigger tanks to fill up these racks.
